Alone in the Swarm

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Cut Off.”

Starship-shaped stadium

sardine-seating for thousands

reverberating with ravenous roar

the crowd hungry for more.

But my team is not theirs

colors and chanting colliding

like paisley and polka dots alienated in the swarm-

I cheer on alone.

Delightful. I love the “paisley ad polka dots” comparison. 🙂

I am so glad you like it, and I was very excited when I thought of those patterns. I am really enjoying reading your poems too!
