Dazzling Dandelions

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Weaving the Threads.”

Dandelions dance
soft seeds scatter in the breeze—
take root in hard ground.

Shy hands carry
a beautiful bouquet
of dazzling dandelions
presenting them hopefully—
earning a starry-eyed first kiss.

Far more enthralling
than keeping watch out
for an unlikely outfield-bound ball
endless chains of dandelions abound.

I’m very familiar with this; they are prolific in my region, but we love the creatures that are drawn to them. Lovely poems; you do have such grace with words.

Wonderful turning of the meanings of dandelions in different settings. You have a delightful imagination.
